Beijing, March 9, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Chinese military has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) centenary goals by 2027, a spokesperson announced on Sunday during the annual national legislative session.
Wu Qian, spokesperson for the PLA and the People’s Armed Police Force delegation, described the PLA centenary objectives and the advancement of world-class armed forces as strategic imperatives in China’s broader vision of national modernization.
“We must dedicate our efforts to ensuring that we achieve our goals with strong performance on schedule,” Wu emphasized.
Deputies from the armed forces have pledged to intensify troop training, enhance combat preparedness, accelerate military modernization, and strengthen new-domain forces to develop advanced combat capabilities. The focus remains on boosting military readiness across various fronts, particularly in informatized and intelligent warfare.
