Ankara, March 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to participate in a regional security meeting in Amman, Jordan, on Sunday, according to Turkish diplomatic sources.
The meeting will bring together foreign and defense ministers, chiefs of general staff, and intelligence heads from Türkiye, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria to discuss regional security cooperation.
Fidan will be accompanied by Turkish National Defense Minister Yasar Guler and Turkish Intelligence Organization (MIT) head Ibrahim Kalin, the sources confirmed on Saturday.
Discussions will center on strengthening cooperation in security, counterterrorism, and combating organized crime, along with a broader dialogue on regional dynamics.
Fidan, Guler, and Kalin have previously engaged in similar talks with Syrian counterparts on January 15 in Ankara, Jordanian counterparts on January 6 in Ankara, and Iraqi counterparts on March 14 in Baghdad.
