Baku, March 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: The closing ceremony of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup 2025 was held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, marking the successful conclusion of the prestigious tournament.
During the ceremony, winning athletes were awarded medals by representatives of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation and other officials, recognizing their outstanding performances throughout the competition.
The final day of the tournament saw Azerbaijani gymnast Nikita Simonov securing a gold medal in the still rings event, adding a remarkable achievement to the host nation’s tally. Additionally, Murad Agharzayev finished in the seventh position in the vault event, while Ivan Tikhonov placed eighth in the horizontal bar event. Another Azerbaijani gymnast, Deniz Aliyeva, also claimed the seventh position in the vault event.
At the conclusion of the four-day competition, gymnasts with the highest scores were honored with the traditional “AGF Trophy,” celebrating their excellence and consistency.
The FIG Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup 2025 brought together top-tier gymnasts from 19 countries, providing a platform for elite athleticism and fostering international sportsmanship.
