Astana, March 26, 2025 – The Europe Today: Kazakhstan’s Greco-Roman wrestler Alimkhan Syzdykov secured a silver medal in the men’s 130kg final after a tough 0-7 defeat against Iran’s Fardin Hedayati.
By the end of Day 1, Kazakhstan had won three medals, with Syzdykov taking silver, while Magomed Ibrahimov (77kg) and Shamil Ozhaev (87kg) claimed bronze in their respective categories.
Earlier, Kazakh wrestlers made a strong impression at the Muhamet Malo 2025 Ranking Series in Albania, where they secured eight medals, further solidifying their competitive presence on the international stage.
