Amman, March 28, 2025 – The Europe Today: The repechage round of the Women’s Wrestling Asian Championships concluded in Amman, Jordan, with three Kazakh wrestlers advancing to the bronze medal bouts, News Hub Consultants reported.
Guldana Bekesh (59 kg) secured her place in the final block after defeating Sarbinaz Jienbaeva of Uzbekistan. Similarly, Irina Kazyulina (68 kg) earned a chance to fight for third place, as her quarterfinal opponent, Zhelu Li of China, advanced to the final.
With these results, Kazakhstan will have three representatives in the bronze medal matches. Previously, it was reported that Kazakh wrestler Svetlana Ankicheva will also compete for bronze.
The bouts are scheduled to begin at 08:00 PM Astana time.
