Ankara, April 6, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the second round of Türkiye-United Arab Emirates (UAE) consultations on Africa will be held in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
The consultations will be co-chaired by Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Burhanettin Duran and UAE’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shahbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan.
According to the official announcement, the discussions will center on recent developments in Africa and explore potential areas of economic cooperation and investment opportunities across the continent.
This diplomatic initiative stems from an agreement made during President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to the UAE in February 2022, following high-level talks between the foreign ministers of both countries. The first round of consultations took place in Ankara on October 10, 2023, and marked the beginning of structured dialogue between the two nations on African affairs.
The regular consultations aim to enhance bilateral cooperation in Africa, reflecting the growing strategic engagement of both Türkiye and the UAE on the continent.
