Ashgabat, May 2, 2025 – The Europe Today: The final document of the international conference titled “Year of Peace and Trust: International Cooperation for the Sake of Children,” held on March 29 in the city of Arkadag, Turkmenistan, has been officially translated into all six United Nations languages and included in the agenda of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday.
The conference, organized in commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children, drew significant international participation and underscored Turkmenistan’s growing role in global child welfare advocacy.
The document adopted at the forum emphasizes key themes such as fostering a culture of peace, advancing social development, enhancing peacebuilding efforts, and upholding the rights of children worldwide. Its inclusion in the UNGA agenda reflects the international community’s recognition of Turkmenistan’s contributions in these critical areas.
The Foreign Ministry noted that the international forum in Arkadag stands as a testament to Turkmenistan’s consistent commitment to promoting the well-being and rights of children, while fostering peace through multilateral dialogue and cooperation.
This development follows the unanimous adoption by the UN General Assembly on March 21, 2025, of the resolution reaffirming the “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan,” further solidifying the country’s standing as a proactive participant in international peace and humanitarian efforts.
