Tirana, May 16, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama held a meeting over a working luncheon in Tirana on Friday, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, President Ilham Aliyev extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Edi Rama on the successful organization of the 6th Summit of the European Political Community, commending Albania’s leadership in hosting the high-level event.
The two leaders praised the ongoing development of Azerbaijan-Albania relations, with particular emphasis on the energy sector and collaboration within international organizations. Both sides noted the strategic significance of the project to supply natural gas from Azerbaijan to the Albanian city of Korça, highlighting it as a key element of the growing partnership.
President Aliyev and Prime Minister Rama also exchanged views on the prospects for deepening cooperation across various fields, expressing mutual interest in expanding bilateral ties in the future.
