Tashkent, June 7, 2025 – The Europe Today: Young Uzbek tennis player Daria Shubina continues to make her mark at the W15 International Tennis Tournament, currently being held at the “Sakhovat Sport Servis” complex in Tashkent.
In a commanding performance during the quarterfinals of the singles competition, Shubina defeated Bo Jung Jeong of South Korea with a decisive score of 6–1, 6–1, securing her spot in the semifinals.
Looking ahead, Shubina is set to face Varvara Panshina, a neutral-status player who is also her partner in the doubles category, for a place in the singles final.
However, in the doubles semifinals, the Shubina–Panshina duo fell short against the team of Vaishnavi Adkar (India) and Punnin Kovapitukted (Thailand), ending their impressive doubles run.
Despite the doubles loss, Daria Shubina’s performance reflects her rising potential on the international stage and highlights Uzbekistan’s growing presence in professional tennis.
