Tehran, July 2, 2025 – The Europe Today: First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad-Reza Aref, has declared national reconstruction as the country’s foremost priority in the aftermath of the 12-day war imposed by the Israeli regime and the United States.
Speaking during a meeting with executives from the National Development Group Investment Company on Monday, Aref emphasized Iran’s commitment to rebuilding all sectors affected by the recent conflict. “Iran must demonstrate its ability to rebuild all postwar sectors,” he stated, urging economic institutions to elevate social responsibility above corporate interests by focusing on the resettlement and rehabilitation of those affected by the war.
Highlighting the resilience of Iran’s economic front during the hostilities, Aref noted, “There was not a single flaw in the performance of our economic front during the 12-day war.” He added that the government had proactively prepared a war economy strategy early in its term, anticipating a decline in oil revenues due to escalating tensions.
Aref cautioned against relying on assurances from Israel and the United States in the post-ceasefire phase. “There is no guarantee in their promises. Global arrogance has aimed to overthrow the Islamic establishment for over 40 years,” he said.
Despite external threats, Aref commended the unity of the Iranian people and their steadfast support for the government, stating that the enemy’s efforts to sow discord had once again failed.
He also praised the Iranian Armed Forces for their decisive and effective response during the conflict, emphasizing that the military made strategic use of its past wartime experiences, particularly from the eight-year Sacred Defense.
Aref paid tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes, including senior commanders and scientists who played a pivotal role in building the country’s defense infrastructure. “The Armed Forces have achieved great successes and inflicted defeat on the Israeli regime, despite the painful loss of some of our top figures,” he concluded.
