President of Turkmenistan Extends Condolences to U.S. President Trump Following Devastating Flood in Texas

Ashgabat, July 08, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has conveyed a message of condolence to U.S. President Donald Trump in the wake of a devastating flood that struck the state of Texas, resulting in significant loss of life, injuries, and widespread destruction, according to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency on Monday.

The natural disaster, triggered by torrential rains, caused severe flooding in Kerr County on July 4, marking one of the worst floods in the region’s history. River levels surged to a record 8.8 meters (28.9 feet), inundating dozens of homes, bridges, and key sections of infrastructure.

In his message, President Berdimuhamedov expressed deep sympathy and support to the families of those who lost their lives and extended his best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. He affirmed Turkmenistan’s solidarity with the American people during this difficult time.

The flood prompted President Trump to declare a state of emergency in the affected area to facilitate emergency response and recovery efforts.

President Berdimuhamedov’s message underscores the importance of international compassion and solidarity in the face of natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
