UAE and Türkiye Sign Multiple Cooperation Agreements

Ankara, July 17, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and President of the Republic of Türkiye, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, today witnessed the exchange of a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across key sectors.

The signing took place during Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s official state visit to Türkiye, underscoring both countries’ shared commitment to deepening strategic collaboration.

The agreements and MoUs exchanged at a formal ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Ankara include:

  • An agreement on the mutual protection of classified information
  • MoU on the establishment of a joint consular committee
  • MoU on investment in food and agriculture
  • MoU on investment cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry
  • MoU on investment in tourism and hospitality
  • MoU on investment cooperation in the industrial sector
  • MoU on cooperation in polar research

From the UAE side, the documents were exchanged by:

  • H.E. Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology
  • H.E. Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment
  • H.E. Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs
  • H.E. Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State

Representing Türkiye:

  • H.E. Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defence
  • H.E. Nuh Yılmaz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

The state visit and subsequent agreement exchange reflect the growing partnership between the UAE and Türkiye, highlighting a mutual desire to enhance cooperation in areas ranging from defense and industry to agriculture and scientific research.
