Khankendi, July 19, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed optimism about the development of strong partnership relations with the United States during a meeting with participants of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum.
“We see great potential for strong partnership relations with the United States. We received very positive messages from Washington. The messages from Azerbaijan were also very positive. We have a great history of partnership,” President Aliyev noted in his remarks, highlighting the longstanding and constructive bilateral engagement.
Speaking on regional peace efforts, President Aliyev praised former U.S. President Donald Trump’s involvement in the South Caucasus. “President Trump is actively involved in the processes in the South Caucasus. He is doing a great job in order to help Azerbaijan and Armenia to find a solution to a long-lasting conflict,” the Head of State emphasized.
“I think that we will have good news in the future,” the President concluded, expressing hope for constructive outcomes in ongoing peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum has brought together prominent media professionals, public figures, and policymakers, serving as a platform to discuss pressing regional and international issues, including peace, security, and strategic cooperation.
