Ankara, July 28, 2025 – The Europe Today: Türkiye’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yilmaz is set to participate in a three-day High-Level International Conference aimed at finding a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian issue and advancing the implementation of the two-state solution. The conference will commence in New York, United States, on Monday.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, Yilmaz will represent Türkiye at the event, which is co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia.
The conference has established eight thematic working groups to address various dimensions of the Palestinian question. Türkiye, in collaboration with Ireland, is co-chairing the working group titled “Preservation of the Two-State Solution.”
The primary focus of the conference is to identify and promote concrete, time-bound steps to realize the two-state solution in light of current regional and international developments.
In addition to his participation in the main sessions, Deputy Minister Yilmaz is expected to engage in bilateral meetings with counterparts and attend several sideline events.
As part of the preparatory process, a preliminary meeting was convened in New York on May 23, during which the chairs of the working groups collected views and recommendations from participating UN member states to shape the agenda of the upcoming conference.
