Baku, July 31, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an official order to allocate funds for the completion of construction and installation works at the Ganja Memorial Complex and the organization of a corresponding museum exposition.
According to the Presidential Order, 10.5 million Azerbaijani manats from the 2025 President’s Reserve Fund will be allocated to the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture. The funding is designated for the continuation and finalization of construction efforts at the complex, which is being established to honor the memory of civilians who lost their lives in Ganja and other residential areas during the 44-day Patriotic War.
The Ganja Memorial Complex aims to reflect the truth and realities of the war and to serve as a lasting tribute to the innocent victims of military aggression. The museum exposition to be developed within the complex will play a key role in documenting and preserving historical narratives for future generations.
This initiative underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to commemorating the victims of the Patriotic War and promoting national remembrance and historical integrity.
