Islamabad, October 1, 2025 – The Europe Today: On October 1, 2025, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan H.E. A. Movlamov received Mr. Shaheryar Memon, the newly appointed Focal Person of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program for Overseas Affairs, Business, and Trade Linkages, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.
Ambassador Movlamov outlined Turkmenistan’s peaceful and constructive foreign policy strategy, emphasizing the principles of neutrality and mutually beneficial cooperation. The two sides explored avenues to further strengthen trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan. In this regard, the Ambassador provided updates on Turkmenistan’s major energy initiatives, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power transmission line projects, describing them as strategically vital for enhancing regional energy security and integration.
The Ambassador also highlighted the construction of the innovative and environmentally sustainable city of Arkadag, which is envisioned as a model of “smart” urban development in the region.
Both parties further discussed a broad range of bilateral issues, including expanding cooperation in trade and investment, developing energy linkages, and promoting cultural and educational exchanges. It was underlined that strengthening partnership in these areas serves the mutual interests of both countries and opens up new prospects for long-term collaboration.
