Baku, October 14, 2025 – The Europe Today: As part of her official working visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova met with Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, on Monday.
During the meeting, both sides commended the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, emphasizing that their partnership is firmly rooted in principles of friendship and brotherhood. The leaders highlighted the significant role of reciprocal visits by heads of state in advancing bilateral ties to a high level.
The speakers underscored the pivotal role of parliaments in fostering these relations and praised the cooperation between the legislative bodies, both bilaterally and within various international platforms. They also acknowledged that the recently held 3rd trilateral meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye has further contributed to expanding and deepening ties among the three nations.
In addition, the meeting provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest, reflecting the ongoing commitment of both countries to strengthen dialogue and collaboration.
