Baku, October 19, 2025 — The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) and admiral of the US Navy.
Admiral Cooper conveyed his congratulations to President Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s achievements in advancing the peace agenda with Armenia, noting that these developments had been observed by the US President in Washington.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the felicitations and underscored the special role of former US President Donald Trump in facilitating progress toward peace. He emphasized that the documents signed in Washington have created significant opportunities for the development and stability of the South Caucasus region.
President Aliyev further stated that Azerbaijan and Armenia have now adapted to living in conditions of peace, marking a new era of cooperation and stability.
During the meeting, both sides hailed the recent positive dynamics in Azerbaijan–US bilateral relations and exchanged views on prospects for cooperation in the military and military-technical fields.
