Hanoi, October 21, 2025 — The Europe Today: United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will pay an official visit to Vietnam from October 24 to 25 at the invitation of State President Lương Cường, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday.
During his visit, Guterres is scheduled to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, also known as the Hanoi Convention. The event marks a significant milestone in global efforts to enhance cooperation in combating cybercrime and ensuring digital security.
The Secretary-General’s visit underscores the strong partnership between Vietnam and the United Nations and highlights Vietnam’s growing role in promoting international peace, security, and multilateral collaboration in addressing emerging global challenges.
