Azerbaijani FM Meets NATO Delegation to Discuss Regional Security and Peace Process

BakuNovember 07, 2025 – The Europe Today: On November 6, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with a delegation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The delegation included the permanent representatives to NATO from Türkiye, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Spain, as well as the deputy permanent representatives of the United States and France.

During the discussions, the sides exchanged views on key aspects of the Azerbaijan–NATO cooperation agenda, as well as regional and international security issues. Special attention was given to the current state and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Minister Bayramov briefed the NATO representatives on the history of the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, the post-conflict security environment, and the agreements reached during the Washington Summit. He also provided information on peace-building efforts, the development of regional transport corridors, and the landmine contamination challenges that continue to threaten security and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories.

The meeting further addressed a range of mutual interest topics, reaffirming Azerbaijan’s commitment to constructive engagement and practical cooperation within the Azerbaijan–NATO partnership framework.
