21st ‘Goodness Ship’ Carrying Turkish Aid for Gaza Arrives in El Arish

El Arish

El Arish, February 22, 2026 – The Europe Today: The 21st “Goodness Ship” loaded with humanitarian assistance from the Turkish Red Crescent has reached El Arish in northeastern Egypt after departing from Mersin, Türkiye, as part of ongoing relief efforts for Gaza.

The vessel, which arrived on Saturday, is carrying approximately 3,300 tons of humanitarian supplies. The shipment includes 175,000 food parcels, food items, personal care products, clothing, shelter materials, water and other essential living supplies intended for civilians affected by the conflict.

Upon docking at El Arish port, the aid cargo was received and is set to be transported into Gaza through the Rafah Border Crossing, in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent.

The latest delivery follows the partial reopening of the Rafah crossing on Feb. 2 after nearly two years of closure, facilitating increased humanitarian shipments amid the ongoing ceasefire. Turkish aid has continued to flow into the region since the escalation of hostilities on Oct. 7, 2023, under the Goodness Ship initiative.

The Turkish Red Crescent said it is expanding its solidarity network through cooperation with public institutions and private sector partners to enhance relief operations.

Türkiye has intensified its humanitarian outreach to Gaza, announcing plans to dispatch an initial 20,000 containers of aid to the region, particularly after the reopening of the Rafah crossing enabled greater access for relief convoys.
