Ängelholm, June 13, 2026 — The Europe Today: Sweden’s women’s volleyball team continued their strong form in the European League with a third consecutive straight-sets victory, defeating Lithuania 3–0 in Ängelholm on Saturday.

Playing in front of 1,157 spectators at Catena Arena, the Swedish side delivered a commanding performance, winning 25–17, 25–14, 25–12. The match took place in the hometown of sisters Isabelle and Anna Haak.

Star player Isabelle Haak led the charge with a dominant 25 points, while Hanna Hellvig contributed 14 points to secure the win for Sweden.

“It’s fun to be back at home. There weren’t as many people as last year, but I think there will be more on Sunday. It was fun to play in front of family and friends,” Isabelle Haak told SVT after the match.

The victory marks Sweden’s third consecutive 3–0 win in the competition. Earlier in the tournament’s first league phase in Azerbaijan, Sweden also recorded straight-sets wins against the host nation and Estonia.

Sweden will next face Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ängelholm on Sunday, as they continue their campaign in strong form ahead of the final league phase, which concludes next weekend in Albania.
