Baku, August 6, 2026 – The Europe Today: Pakistan will host a special cultural presentation dedicated to Azerbaijan later this month as part of the fifth season of the “Cultural Colors” initiative, reinforcing cultural diplomacy and the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
The event, organized by the Niftysphere Institute of Arts and Design in collaboration with Pakistan’s Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, is scheduled to be held on August 27 at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad.
Held under the patronage of Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, the event aims to promote cultural diplomacy, international cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges through art, fashion, and cultural expression.
A key attraction of the programme will be an Azerbaijan-themed fashion showcase, featuring an exclusive collection inspired by Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, traditional craftsmanship, artistic motifs, and national identity.
The collection, designed by the Fashion Department of the Niftysphere Institute of Arts and Design, blends authentic Azerbaijani cultural elements with contemporary fashion, presenting the country’s artistic legacy to an international audience while celebrating the shared values and friendship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
According to the organizers, the event seeks to further strengthen bilateral relations by encouraging cultural dialogue and expanding cooperation in the creative industries. It will also provide a platform for interaction among diplomats, government officials, representatives of international organizations, media professionals, fashion designers, artists, academics, and students.
The event is being organized by Syed Usman Tahir, Advisor to Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture and Chief Executive Officer of the Niftysphere Institute of Arts and Design.
The Azerbaijan cultural presentation has been developed under the creative direction of Sidra ul Muntaha, Head of the Fashion Department at the institute. Her concept combines traditional Azerbaijani cultural narratives with modern fashion aesthetics while highlighting the role of emerging designers in promoting intercultural understanding and global cultural exchange.
The organizers said the showcase reflects the growing cultural partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and is expected to further deepen people-to-people connections while celebrating the rich heritage of both friendly nations.
