Baku, August 21, 2026 — The Europe Today: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the commemoration of the 130th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani statesman and scholar Aziz Aliyev.
Under the presidential order, the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will prepare and implement a programme of events dedicated to the anniversary.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with taking the necessary measures arising from the order.
The 130th anniversary of Aziz Aliyev will be commemorated in January 2027.
