Baku, September 26, 2024, The Europe Today: During the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX) held in Baku on September 25, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with Major General Pavel Muraveiko, the Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, who is currently visiting Azerbaijan.
The meeting highlighted the significance of enhancing military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus, with both sides discussing avenues for expanding their existing relations in the defense sector.
Additionally, the two officials engaged in a comprehensive dialogue regarding regional security and other pertinent issues of mutual interest.
Following this, Colonel General Hasanov also convened with Mr. Dmitry Pantus, the Minister of State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus, where discussions focused on military-technical cooperation.
The meetings at ADEX 2024 reflect both countries’ commitment to strengthening their defense partnerships and addressing shared security concerns in the region.
