New York, September 30, 2024 – The Europe Today: Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on mutual short stay visa exemptions for diplomatic and service passport holders during a ceremony held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The announcement was made by the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan.
The agreement was signed by Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin and his Saudi counterpart, Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. This move aims to enhance diplomatic cooperation and ease travel for officials between the two nations.
In addition to the MoU, the foreign ministers engaged in discussions on key issues, addressing topics related to regional security, economic cooperation, and global concerns such as water management and climate change. These discussions signal a continued strengthening of ties between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia on both bilateral and international platforms.
