Overseas Luban Workshop Agricultural Machinery Service Center Inaugurated to Boost Pakistan-China Cooperation in Agricultural Mechanization

Changsha, October 29, 2024 – The Europe Today: The Overseas Luban Workshop Agricultural Machinery Service Center, Pakistan, was inaugurated at the International Conference Center in Changsha, Hunan province, as part of a collaborative effort to enhance Pakistan’s agricultural capabilities and foster closer ties between China and Pakistan in the field of agricultural mechanization.

The unveiling ceremony was marked by a joint effort involving the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College, Tianjin Tailai Import and Export Co., Ltd., Tianjin Agricultural Mechanization Technology Testing Service Center, and Wugu Media, according to a report by China Economic Net (CEN).

Asif Shah, Honorary Consultant of the Pakistan Luban Workshop and Executive Board Member of the Punjab Agricultural Research Board, praised the initiative’s achievements, emphasizing that over a thousand skilled agricultural machinery operators and maintenance technicians in Punjab have been trained through the Luban Workshop. “The project has successfully introduced Chinese technology and equipment, accelerating agricultural mechanization in Pakistan and receiving high praise from education experts, students, engineers, and agricultural machinery users alike,” Shah remarked.

CAMDA highlighted that the Luban Workshop aligns with the Belt and Road Initiative’s vision, promoting international integration in production and education sectors. Hu Wei, President of the Media Branch of CAMDA, expressed optimism about the Overseas Service Center’s role in furthering a robust social service framework for Chinese agricultural machinery in international markets.

The Agricultural Machinery Training Program at Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College has played a key role in bridging China’s agricultural machinery industry with overseas needs by training skilled technicians proficient in agricultural machinery application. This initiative seeks to establish a global platform for production, education, and research in agricultural mechanization along the Belt and Road, contributing to sustainable development and agricultural innovation in participating regions.
