Baku, February 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: As part of her visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to discuss expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bahrain.
Both sides reaffirmed the strong relations between their countries and emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration across various sectors. The Crown Prince commended Azerbaijan’s active role in addressing global challenges and praised its successful organization of COP29. He also expressed appreciation for Aliyeva’s presentation of the MAMA “Mother Nature” international art project in Bahrain, recognizing it as a valuable contribution to environmental protection.
The discussions also focused on future joint projects, particularly in the context of EXPO 2025 in Japan this April. Additionally, the meeting highlighted both nations’ experience in hosting Formula 1 events and explored potential partnerships in automobile sports.
The visit underscored Azerbaijan and Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and fostering cooperation in cultural, environmental, and economic fields.
