Islamabad, June 3, 2025 – The Europe Today: His Excellency Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, Special Envoy and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, participated in the annual United Nations–Pakistan meeting held Tuesday in Islamabad.
The meeting, organized for ambassadors of member states stationed in Pakistan, served as a platform to brief diplomatic representatives on the UN80 Reform initiative introduced by United Nations Secretary-General H.E. António Guterres, as well as to present the United Nations’ 2024 annual results.

Co-chaired by H.E. Mohamed Yahya, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Pakistan, and H.E. Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad, the event highlighted the UN’s continued efforts to enhance multilateral cooperation, promote sustainable development, and improve transparency and efficiency in its global operations.
Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker’s participation underscored Ethiopia’s active engagement in international and multilateral platforms, as well as its support for ongoing UN reform and development efforts worldwide.
