Minsk, June 2, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) summit held in Minsk.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia. They noted the steady progress being made across multiple areas of mutual interest.
Particular emphasis was placed on the practical implementation of the agreements reached during high-level engagements between the two countries. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral relations.
The leaders welcomed the ongoing joint efforts to maintain the dynamic growth in mutual trade turnover and the advancement of key cooperation projects. They also highlighted the importance of strengthening interregional contacts and expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges as pillars of long-term partnership.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to deepening their comprehensive strategic cooperation, grounded in mutual respect, trust, and shared development goals.
