In a recent statement, Wilson highlighted Morocco’s strides in political and social development, including constitutional reforms and the advancement of women’s rights, as key indicators of the country’s transformative trajectory. He commended these efforts as essential steps toward modernization and regional leadership.
The congressman also underscored Morocco’s commitment to religious tolerance, noting the country’s harmonious coexistence of Muslims, Christians, and Jews as a unique and admirable model in the region. This atmosphere of inclusion, he said, distinguishes Morocco in a complex geopolitical environment.

Significantly, Wilson has introduced legislation in the U.S. Congress seeking the designation of the Polisario Front as a foreign terrorist organization. The bill cites the group’s violent actions against Moroccan forces and its alleged links to Hezbollah, labeling it a threat to regional peace and security. The initiative contrasts Morocco’s constructive role with the destabilizing influence of the Polisario.
Wilson concluded by affirming the importance of further strengthening Moroccan-American relations, which he said are rooted in shared values of peace, stability, and mutual respect.
