Brussels Prepares for Second Open Air Festival to Celebrate Club Culture

Brussels

Brussels, August 13, 2025 – The Europe Today: The City of Brussels, in partnership with Brussels By Night, is set to launch the second edition of the Brussels Open Air Festival on Saturday, 30 August 2025, reaffirming its commitment to celebrating local club culture and nightlife as an integral part of the city’s cultural identity.

This one-day music festival, running from 2 PM to 10 PM, will unfold across six iconic public locations—including Place De Brouckère, Place Poelaert, Place d’Espagne, the Administrative City (Congrès), Vaux Hall, and Place Jean Rey.

Nine collectives, clubs, labels, and promoters have been selected through a competitive public call—out of 25 proposals—evaluated by a jury of industry experts. The chosen organisers receive logistical and production support to deliver their events.

The festival seeks to shine a spotlight on the diversity, energy, and dynamism of Brussels’ clubbing scene. It follows the 2024 recognition of club culture as part of the city’s intangible cultural heritage.

Music genres on offer will range from pop, techno, Latin rhythms, hip-hop, and urban dance, offering something for every musical taste—with over 10,000 attendees anticipated. The festival not only continues to establish itself as a seasonal highlight but also provides a valuable platform for emerging artists and creative collectives.
