Jakarta, January 5, 2026 – The Europe Today: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday met Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani at his residence in Bogor, West Java, to discuss downstreaming projects valued at Rp100 trillion (approximately US$6 billion).
According to an Instagram post cited in Jakarta, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the projects are being managed by Danantara, Indonesia’s investment and sovereign wealth management entity, where Roeslani serves as chief executive officer.
Wijaya noted that groundbreaking ceremonies for five of Danantara’s downstreaming projects are scheduled to take place early next month. The government views these initiatives as strategic efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s industrial ecosystem and boost value-added production.
The meeting also reviewed progress in the national waste-to-energy program, which aims to improve landfill management while generating greater economic benefits through environmentally friendly waste processing.
“The objective is to reduce the volume of waste at open landfills while creating economic value,” Wijaya said.
The discussions underscored the administration’s focus on accelerating downstreaming initiatives and advancing sustainable development through innovative industrial and environmental policies.
