Canada Urges Citizens to Leave Iran

Canada

Ottawa, January 14, 2026 – The Europe Today: The Canadian government has urged its citizens to urgently leave Iran, citing travel disruptions and safety concerns, according to media reports.

“Canadians currently in Iran should leave the country now if possible. Many airlines have suspended flights to and from Iran, but it is possible to cross the border by land. The land borders with Armenia and Türkiye are open, and Canadian passport holders do not require a visa to enter these countries,” the government advised.

The advisory comes amid growing concerns over limited air travel options and the need for Canadian nationals to ensure their safety while in the country.
