Lahore, January 31, 2026 — The Europe Today: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday paid glowing tribute to the officers and personnel of Pakistan’s security forces for successfully foiling malicious attempts by Fitna-e-Hindustan to disrupt peace in Balochistan and for thwarting what he described as the enemy’s nefarious designs.
The prime minister lauded the professional competence, courage and bravery of the security forces for repelling coordinated terrorist attacks at 12 locations across Quetta, Noshki, Dalbandin, Pasni and Gwadar. He said the successful operations demonstrated the forces’ high level of preparedness and commitment to national security.
According to the prime minister, 37 terrorists were neutralized during the operations, delivering a major blow to militant networks operating in the region. He further stated that, over the past 48 hours, security forces neutralized 88 leading terrorists backed by India in various intelligence-based operations, calling it a significant achievement in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid rich tribute to ten valiant security personnel who embraced martyrdom during the operations, sacrificing their lives while prioritizing the protection of the homeland over their own safety. He offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for patience and strength for their bereaved families.
“The entire nation, including myself, is proud of its martyrs,” the prime minister said, adding that the officers and personnel of the security forces continue to perform their duties with exemplary courage, dedication and selflessness, without regard for their own lives.
Reaffirming the government’s firm resolve, the prime minister stated that the war against terrorism would continue until its complete eradication from the country. He emphasized that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces in an unwavering commitment to safeguard the sovereignty and security of the motherland.
