Rally in Islamabad Marks Kashmir Solidarity Day, Calls for Peaceful Resolution

Islamabad, February 5, 2026 — The Europe Today: A large rally was held in the federal capital on Thursday to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day, with participants expressing support for the people of Kashmir and advocating for a peaceful resolution of the longstanding dispute in accordance with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.

The rally, organised from China Chowk to D-Chowk, was led by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam. It drew Hurriyat representatives, political leaders, and citizens, who carried banners and placards highlighting solidarity with Kashmiris.

Speakers at the event emphasised the need for continued international attention on the Kashmir issue and called on the global community to facilitate a settlement aligned with UN commitments. They reiterated Pakistan’s ongoing moral, political, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed annually on February 5 across Pakistan to express support for Kashmiris and draw attention to the unresolved status of the disputed region.
