Turkmenistan Prepares for High-Level Participation in Expo 2027 in Belgrade

Ashgabat, March 16, 2026 – The Europe Today: Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev reported on Friday on preparations underway to ensure Turkmenistan’s high-level participation in the Specialized World Expo 2027, scheduled to take place in Belgrade, Serbia.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the report was presented during a regular meeting of the government, where Atagulyyev outlined ongoing efforts related to the country’s participation in the international exhibition.

The Expo 2027 event will be held under the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.” Preparations for Turkmenistan’s participation include the construction, installation, equipping, and design of the national pavilion, which will showcase the country’s achievements and cultural heritage.

Atagulyyev noted that Turkmenistan plans to participate in the exhibition under the motto “Turkmenistan – Melody of Peace, Land of Health.” He also submitted a relevant proposal to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for consideration.

During the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan regularly takes part in major international exhibitions and forums, which contribute to strengthening the country’s trade and economic cooperation with foreign partners.

Approving the proposal, the president instructed the deputy prime minister to proceed with the necessary organizational and preparatory work to ensure the country’s effective representation at the global event.

The government meeting also addressed several other important state matters, with relevant decisions adopted following the discussions.
