Turkmen Leader Sends Warm Message to Kazakhstan President During Flight

Ashgabat, March 20, 2026 – The Europe Today: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, has sent a warm and informal message to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, expressing deep friendship and admiration for the neighboring country.

Remarkably, the message was written during a flight over Kazakhstan, with Berdimuhamedov sharing his impressions of the country’s scenic spring landscapes as viewed from the air.

In his letter, the Turkmen leader praised the natural beauty of Kazakhstan, highlighting its mountains, lakes, and vast green meadows. He also quoted renowned Kazakh poet and philosopher Abai Kunanbayev, reflecting on the renewal and vibrancy of spring.

Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship, brotherhood, and kinship between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. He commended Kazakhstan’s achievements under President Tokayev’s leadership and expressed support for the country’s ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening its political system and improving public welfare.

The Turkmen leader conveyed confidence that the spring season would bring renewal, success, and continued progress for Kazakhstan, while wishing President Tokayev good health and further success in leading the nation.

He also extended his best wishes for peace, happiness, and prosperity to the people of Kazakhstan, underscoring the enduring spirit of cooperation and good-neighborly relations between the two countries.
