Turkmen Child Welfare Foundation to Visit Belarus to Strengthen Humanitarian Cooperation

Belarus

Ashgabat, April 2, 2026 – The Europe Today: A delegation from the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is set to visit Belarus to expand humanitarian cooperation, according to Stanislav Chepurnoy.

The announcement was made in a message marking the foundation’s fifth anniversary, as reported by the Embassy of Belarus in Turkmenistan.

During the visit, the delegation is expected to hold meetings with representatives of the Belarusian Children’s Fund and the National Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities. Discussions will focus on exchanging professional expertise and identifying new avenues for collaboration in child welfare and rehabilitation services.

Ambassador Chepurnoy highlighted that the partnership between the two sides has already yielded tangible outcomes. Belarus has provided the Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in the city of Arkadag with a specialized development complex aimed at enhancing fine motor skills and cognitive development, along with samples of children’s orthopedic footwear.

Established in March 2021, the foundation has built partnerships with international organizations of similar focus. It has actively supported children affected by natural disasters in various countries and facilitated medical treatment for children in need across Turkmenistan.

The upcoming visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral humanitarian ties and promote the exchange of best practices in child healthcare and social support systems.
