Antalya, April 19, 2026 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held talks with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Antalya on April 18, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.
At the outset of the meeting, Meredov congratulated the Turkish side on the successful organization of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF-2026), commending the high level of its arrangements.
During the discussions, both sides underscored the traditionally strong and dynamic nature of intergovernmental relations, which continue to advance through the efforts of the leadership of the two countries, including the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty.
The ministers reviewed a wide range of issues related to further developing political and diplomatic ties, expanding economic cooperation, and strengthening the legal and contractual framework between the two nations.
Concluding the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on key regional and international developments, reaffirming their aligned positions on promoting regional stability and security.
