Ashgabat, June 29, 2026 – The Europe Today: Leaders from several countries have extended congratulatory messages to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the occasion of his birthday, Turkmenistan’s state media reported on Sunday.
Among the heads of state who conveyed their greetings were Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Congratulatory messages were also sent by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Sergei Lebedev, Secretary-General of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council Dmitry Kobitskiy, United Nations Under-Secretary-General Miguel Ángel Moratinos, Qatar’s Sheikh Faisal bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani, Head of the Austrian-Turkmen Society Neda Berger, and Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board Allahshukur Pashazade.
In their messages, the foreign leaders wished Berdimuhamedov good health, happiness, and continued success in his public service, while expressing hopes for lasting peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for the people of Turkmenistan.
The congratulatory messages underscored the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and its international partners and reflected appreciation for Berdimuhamedov’s role in promoting regional cooperation and development.
