Dushanbe, October 5, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation on Monday.
At the beginning of the conversation, President Putin warmly congratulated President Rahmon on his birthday and conveyed his best wishes to the Tajik leader.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm and sincere congratulations, President Rahmon said he regarded the Russian president’s good wishes as being extended to the entire people of Tajikistan.
During the conversation, the two leaders reviewed the current state and prospects of interstate relations between Tajikistan and Russia, which are based on the principles of strategic partnership and allied cooperation.
The presidents also exchanged views on other pressing issues of mutual interest.
