Ashgabat, August 26, 2025 – The Europe Today: A meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan for West Asia and Afghanistan, Syed Ali Asad Gillani.
During the talks, the parties reviewed the state of Turkmenistan–Pakistan relations and discussed avenues for enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Both sides noted the productive character of the partnership within the framework of international and regional structures.
It was emphasized that trade and economic collaboration holds a special place in the agenda of bilateral relations. The diplomats also underlined the importance of maintaining active dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries, while highlighting the potential for further development of cultural and humanitarian ties.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue efforts to strengthen transport and energy connectivity not only between Turkmenistan and Pakistan but also with other countries of the region.
