Doha, September 15, 2025 — The Europe Today: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has once again condemned Israel’s aggression against Qatar and other regional states, warning that the regime’s warmongering poses a grave threat to stability in West Asia.
Araghchi made the remarks on Sunday in Doha during a meeting with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The talks were held on the sidelines of a joint session of foreign ministers from the Arab League (AL) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), convened in preparation for an emergency summit of heads of state from the two organizations scheduled for Monday.
Reaffirming Iran’s principled stance, Araghchi stressed the need for effective and collective action by the Islamic world to confront Israel’s policies, halt the genocide in Gaza, and hold the leaders of the occupying regime accountable. He also reiterated Iran’s solidarity with Qatar following Israel’s unprecedented attack in Doha last week, which targeted Hamas leadership.
For his part, Al Thani expressed appreciation for Iran’s support and called for unified efforts by Arab and Islamic nations to assist the Palestinian people and resist what he described as “the dangerous trend of Israel’s hegemony” in the region.
The two ministers also discussed bilateral relations, international developments, and Iran’s nuclear dossier, with Araghchi underlining Tehran’s responsible approach to diplomacy.
During his visit to Doha, the Iranian foreign minister also held separate meetings with counterparts from other participating countries.
