Ashgabat, September 17, 2025 — The Europe Today: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has extended his congratulations to Rustam Minnikhanov on his re-election as Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation.
According to official Turkmen media on Tuesday, the congratulatory message was conveyed on behalf of the people and Government of Turkmenistan, as well as personally from the head of state.
“The election results reflect your dedicated service and the high level of trust the people of Tatarstan place in you,” President Berdimuhamedov stated. He expressed confidence that Minnikhanov’s new term would contribute to the further development of Tatarstan and the well-being of its citizens.
The Turkmen leader also conveyed his best wishes to Minnikhanov for good health, happiness, and success in his responsible role, while extending wishes of peace, prosperity, and continued progress to the brotherly people of Tatarstan.
The election in Tatarstan was held on September 14, with Rustam Minnikhanov securing nearly 2 million votes, representing 88.09% of ballots cast. The official inauguration ceremony is scheduled for September 19, according to the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Tatarstan.
