Rawalpindi, November 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim, Minister of Defence of Tajikistan, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and avenues for strengthening bilateral defence cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further enhance existing military-to-military collaboration, with particular emphasis on training exchanges, counter-terrorism efforts, and joint initiatives aimed at promoting regional stability.
The Tajik Defence Minister appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace and security. The COAS expressed Pakistan’s continued support for deepening defence ties with Tajikistan in the spirit of mutual cooperation and shared aspirations for long-term peace in the region.
