Astana, November 24, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Kazakhstan on Monday for a state visit aimed at deepening bilateral ties and advancing strategic cooperation between the two Central Asian nations.
Upon arrival at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport, President Berdimuhamedov was accorded a warm welcome featuring a ceremonial guard of honour and the hoisting of the national flags of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
According to official statements, high-level Turkmen-Kazakh talks are scheduled during the visit, with several bilateral agreements expected to be signed. The discussions will focus on enhancing collaboration across priority sectors, further reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
This year marks the 33rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. Over the past three decades, cooperation has steadily expanded across multiple areas, supported by active political engagement at the highest level. The current visit is seen as an important step toward strengthening the multi-dimensional partnership and fostering continued regional cooperation.
