Azerbaijan Embassy in Georgia Establishes Precinct Election Commission for Extraordinary Presidential Elections

Tbilisi, February 03, 2024, The Europe Today: In anticipation of the extraordinary elections for the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan scheduled for 7th February 2024, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia has officially formed a Precinct Election Commission (PEK), according to a report by Azerbaijani media.

The PEK, specifically designated for Yasamal Second Election District No. 47 and Yasamal Second Election District No. 16, is located at Tbilisi, Vakhshvili Street and Tbilisi, Vakhtang Gorgasali Street 4, respectively.

Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, aged 18 and above, possessing active voting rights, are required to present one of the following valid documents to the Precinct Election Commission (PEK) during the voting process:

  1. General civil passport
  2. Diplomatic passport
  3. Service passport

For citizens who do not possess a corresponding valid passport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an alternative option is available. Those eligible to vote can participate using a valid identity card.

The extraordinary elections are scheduled to take place on 7th February 2024, from 08:00 to 19:00 Tbilisi time.
