Turkmen Ambassador to Hungary Discusses Bilateral Cooperation with Hungarian Officials

Budapest, February 08, 2024, The Europe Today: In a diplomatic meeting held in Budapest, Hemra Amannazarov, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Hungary (with residence in Vienna), engaged in discussions with Sandor Lezsak, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, and Christoph Altus, the diplomatic adviser to the President of Hungary. The meeting aimed to address a comprehensive array of topics pertaining to bilateral cooperation, as reported by the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Austria.

The negotiations delved into various aspects of political, trade, economic, and cultural collaboration between Turkmenistan and Hungary. Notably, the parties emphasized the significance of organizing reciprocal high-level visits, fostering student exchange programs, and highlighting the role of interparliamentary relations in strengthening ties between the two nations.

The year 2024 holds special importance as it marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Turkmen poet and thinker, Magtymguly Fragi. In light of this milestone, ceremonial events celebrating Turkmen culture and heritage are scheduled to take place throughout Hungary over the course of the year.
