Vienna, April 05, 2024, The Europe Today: In a concerted effort to foster cultural exchange and diplomatic relations, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Vienna organized a series of cultural and diplomatic events, featuring the participation of Turkmen Minister of Culture Atageldi Shamyradov. The Turkmen diplomatic mission in Austria reported on the proceedings.

The centerpiece of the events was a solemn meeting titled “Cultural diplomacy in international relations: prospects of the Turkmen-Austrian society,” underscoring the pivotal role of intercultural dialogue in fortifying bilateral ties. Minister Shamyradov underscored the robust cultural collaboration between Turkmenistan and Austria, delineating avenues for its future advancement.

A notable highlight of the gathering was the presentation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s new book, “Anau – culture from the depths of millennia.” Esteemed speakers lauded the scholarly, educational, and practical significance of the publication, which delves into the rich history and cultural heritage of Turkmenistan.

During the event, Minister Shamyradov extended warm congratulations to Neda Berger, head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, on her birthday, acknowledging the instrumental role of public figures in bolstering bilateral relations.

The cultural program unfolded with a screening of the latest film “Composer,” produced by the Turkmenfilm association named after Oguzkhan and supported by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. The film, exploring the transformative potency of music and art, resonated profoundly with the audience.

These cultural initiatives not only showcased the rich tapestry of Turkmenistan’s heritage but also underscored the enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation with Austria.
